Job Summary:
Houston Skilled Consultancy is looking for a responsible and dedicated School Bus Driver to join our team in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will be entrusted with the safe transportation of students to and from school. This is a full-time position that requires a professional driver who can operate vehicles safely while ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride for the children. Key Responsibilities:
• Safely transport students to and from school within assigned routes.
• Ensure the bus is clean and well-maintained before and after each trip.
• Follow all traffic laws and school transportation regulations.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor while driving, especially during emergencies or adverse conditions.
• Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring that younger or special-needs students receive appropriate attention.
• Ensure that students are seated and that seat belts, if available, are worn.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the management promptly.
• Maintain an accurate log of hours worked and routes driven.
• Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and supervisors.
• Participate in safety training programs as required.
• Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in driving large vehicles, preferably buses.
• Ability to work with children and manage group dynamics.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and school safety regulations.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good physical condition and the ability to lift children, if necessary.
• Experience:
• Prior experience as a school bus driver or in a similar driving role is preferred.
• Experience in customer service or working with children is a plus.
• Experience with vehicle maintenance or general mechanical knowledge would be an advantage.
• Working Hours:
• This is a full-time role, with working hours typically during the morning and afternoon school shifts.
• Flexibility in schedule may be required based on school requirements and extracurricular activities.

• Strong knowledge of the roads and routes within Coimbatore.
• Excellent driving skills with attention to detail and safety.
