Job Title: School Cafeteria Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Kitsilano Secondary School
Employment Type: Part-Time (Monday–Friday)
Schedule: 4 hours per day (Exact hours TBD) | September to June (School Days Only)
We are looking for a dependable and energetic Cafeteria Assistant to join our team in a busy school cafeteria. This part-time role is Monday to Friday during the school year (September to June). You will have time off during Pro-D days, winter break, spring break, and summer holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily preparation of food items for service
Operating the cash register and handling cash transactions
Assisting with end-of-day clean-up and dishwashing
Supporting the Cafeteria Manager as needed
Requirements:
Must be available Monday to Friday on school days
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Valid Food Safe Certificate
Work Permit (if applicable)
Must pass a Criminal Record Check
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
