Job Information
We are seeking a compassionate and bilingual School Counsellor to support students' emotional and social well-being at École Allain St-Cyr. In this role, you will be responsible to provide counselling support, promote mental wellness, and collaborate with educators, families, and community partners to foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive school environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience supporting children and families in school or community settings, fluency in French (advanced oral, written, and comprehension), strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, as well as knowledge of mental health, inclusive education, and community resources.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A post-secondary program relating to counselling children and families, as well as experience working in counselling and support programs for children and families. The following will be accepted:
A Bachelor of Education, specializing in counselling and 3 years working in the field of school counselling
A Bachelor in counselling and 3 years of experience working in counselling and support programs for children and families
A Master's Degree in counselling and 2 years of experience working in counselling and support programs for children and families
A Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology or Educational psychology and 2 years of working in the field of school counselling.
