iTeach Schoolsis a fast-growing community of transformational schools providing a high-quality and free education to secondary students. Currently, we serve 2000 students and 1350 student alumni through a strong team of nearly 170 staff members. In the academic year 2026-23, we are growing our impact and are looking for exceptional individuals to lead these efforts!
Responsibilities:
A counsellor and SEL Instructor at iTeach Schools wears multiple hats to ensure an excellent education for their students. The three different parts of the role are:
A - Personal Counseling of students (approximately 50% time)
Conduct formal psychological assessments for a provisional diagnosis.Examine and identify academic and other gaps.Conduct Personal Counseling to help students overcome emotional, social or behavioural concerns.Document cases thoroughly to establish a qualitative and quantitative database.
B - Social Emotional Learning Instruction (approximately 40% time)
Conduct Social Emotional Learning Classes with all grades in the school in a group of 30-40 students.Build a positive and strong classroom culture, with a focus on developing socio-emotional skills.Use existing resources and design innovative sessions and Unit Plans to conduct SEL sessions.
C - Coach school team and parents on handling students with special needs (approximately 10% time)
Work with the School Principal and Vice-Principal to coach teachers and school staff on how. best to include and ensure learning for students with special needs.Coach parents on how best to support students with special needs.
Education & Experience:
Required: Master’s Degree with a specialization in psychology and/or counselingRequired: 2 - 3 years of work experience in personal/student counselingPreferred: Experience with adolescent students
Location: Pune
Salary: Salary is decided based on the candidate's education and work experience. Our usual compensation for this role lies between 24k-30k CTC per month. We also take pride in providing the best of industry benefits such as PF, Gratuity, Medical Insurance etc.
