Job Description
To deal with students of the age group 3-10 years. Identifying Learning Disability. Candidate should have minimum 2 years experience in similar profile.
To develop and implement counseling programs to help students in their academic, personal and social development. Listening to students concerns and providing guidance and support on how to deal with problems. Mediating and Improving relationships between teachers, students and parents.
To counsel individually or in groups as required. To assess students to determine their strength, aptitudes, interests and weaknesses. Hereby helping them to develop their skill sets.
Responsible for counseling the school Staff as and when required by the principal. The counselor shall schedule and hold workshops for students, school staff and parents as required.
Sensitizing the staff on provisions of POSH. Enhance awareness amongst staff, students, & parents on POSCO Act. Monitoring the progress of children with difficulties to observe if improvement is being made.
Interacting with parents understanding how the child is performing at home and whether condition prevailing at home are affecting the child adversely & advising the parents accordingly. Liaise with the teaching staff in cases concerning students with behavioral issues
