Job Description
No. of visits: 12 visits per month
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Identifying Behavioural, Social and Emotional challenges experienced by the students.
2. Provide insight development sessions, and scientifically based psychotherapeutic techniques to reduce the intensity and frequency of the distress and challenges faced by the client/ student(s)
3. Apply intervention techniques to counsel and intervene in the issues faced by students
4. Identify emotional and behavioural triggers, and teach coping strategies to prevent the students from distressing experiences.
5. Report any incidents of self-harm including cutting oneself, calling oneself negative names, pondering over suicidal thoughts etc to parents and school management.
6. Manage stress and other related experiences among students
7. Identify students who may require special needs, and present the case in an empathetic and kind approach to parents and school management, provide them with resources, and equip the class/subject teachers with basic behavioural intervention strategies
8. Provide counselling sessions for teachers and parents as per the school's request
+. Maintain records and documentation of the student's counselling sessions.
