Enforcing school security protocols and Ombudsman policies as directed by leadership, ensuring consistent adherence to safety guidelines.
Supporting student engagement through truancy interventions, home visits, and proactive responses to behavior concerns, fostering a respectful and encouraging environment.
Monitoring students and staff throughout the school day—during arrivals, transitions, instructional periods, and dismissals—to maintain calm, structured movement and minimize disruptions.
Conducting thorough check-ins of students, including inspecting backpacks, electronics, and personal items according to school protocol and leadership direction.
Responding swiftly to emergencies, accidents, and suspicious activity by assessing the situation, ensuring safety, and completing clear, detailed incident reports.
Assisting students, staff, and campus visitors with safety-related inquiries or concerns, demonstrating professionalism, discretion, and care.
Reporting incidents accurately and promptly to appropriate personnel, using both written and verbal communication to support effective resolution.
Securing school events—including graduations, open houses, and after-hours programs—by maintaining a visible safety presence and coordinating smooth operations.
Participating in school safety practices such as cleaning, sanitization, and emergency preparedness drills to strengthen health and crisis response readiness.
Performing additional duties as assigned by school administrators, always contributing to a secure and supportive learning environment.
‖ Qualifications Required:

Prior experience and/or highly knowledgeable in security operations and safety practices, preferably in an education program or school setting.
Hold currently or have the ability to obtain a CPR and/or First Aide certification preferred.
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a security related credential preferred.
