Your next career opportunity
As a School Support Officer in the School of Historical and Philosophical Studies, you'll play a vital role in supporting a dynamic academic environment. You'll have the opportunity to manage a diverse range of administrative tasks, from financial processes to staff onboarding and facilities management. Working collaboratively with academic staff and university-wide teams, you'll contribute directly to the smooth operation of the School and the success of its research and teaching activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

Provide Administrative Support: Act as the primary contact for School queries, maintain records, and update communication channels.

Handle Financial Operations: Process purchase orders, invoices, and payments, working closely with the central finance team.

Coordinate Facilities and Resources: maintain equipment and ensure compliance with University standards.

Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist with the recruitment process, support new staff transitions, and administer onboarding procedures.

Have completed a relevant degree with subsequent work experience.

Possess strong organisational and time management skills.

Have experience in providing effective administrative support.

Excel in using Microsoft Office applications.

Be able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Have experience in a tertiary education environment (desirable).

Be familiar with Workday, finance, and HR systems (desirable).
