About the Role
As the Schools Officer, Grounds, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of Varsity College by maintaining the school's grounds and facilities to a high standard. This role involves a mix of routine and non-routine tasks, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining school grounds, including mowing, weeding, and caring for gardens, trees, and lawns.
Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, including safe storage and handling of chemicals and equipment.
Performing general maintenance tasks, such as repairs to fences, gates, and irrigation systems, and maintaining outdoor sporting facilities.
Coordinating the removal and disposal of rubbish and assisting with ground improvement activities.
Liaising with internal and external personnel to address maintenance needs and ensure the upkeep of facilities.
This role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys hands-on tasks, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
