Minimum Qualification:
Full-time regular B.E. / B.Tech degree in the related field
Minimum Experience:
At least 5 years of professional experience in technical project execution, data management, or GIS-related domains, including at least 2 years of experience working with Government or State Departments.
Brief Responsibilities & Skills Required:
• Demonstrates the application of agile development processes in a leadership capacity to manage technical workflows effectively.
• Possesses expertise in data analysis tools, especially Excel, for managing datasets and generating analytical reports.
• Holds certification in GIS or related fields.
• Skilled in requirement analysis, design, testing, delivery, and support, ensuring end-to-end technical project execution.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to address technical challenges and enhance system performance.

About the Role
Tropica Industries is seeking an experienced and proactive SCM Manager to oversee import documentation, local logistics operations, vendor coordination, and team management at our Abidjan facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring smooth inbound and outbound logistics, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and effective team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Import & Export Documentation
• Handle complete import documentation including BL, Invoice, Packing List, COO, Insurance, and Customs-related documents.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and clearing agents.
• Ensure compliance with local import/export regulations and company policies.
• Track shipments and ensure timely clearance and delivery.
Local Logistics & Planning
• Plan and manage local transportation for raw materials and finished goods.
• Coordinate dispatch schedules, delivery routes, and warehouse movements.
• Monitor inventory movement in coordination with warehouse and production teams.
• Ensure timely deliveries while optimizing logistics and transportation costs.
Vendor & Service Provider Management
• Identify, coordinate, and manage logistics vendors (transporters, clearing agents, freight forwarders).
• Negotiate rates and service agreements with logistics service providers.
• Monitor vendor performance and resolve operational issues.
• Maintain accurate vendor records, contracts, and compliance documentation.
Team Handling & Leadership
• Lead, supervise, and guide the logistics and supply chain team.
• Allocate tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance.
• Provide training, support, and performance feedback to team members.
• Ensure coordination and smooth communication within the SCM/logistics team.
• Promote process discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Coordination & Reporting
• Work closely with Accounts, Procurement, Production, and Sales teams.
• Prepare and present logistics and supply chain reports related to shipment status, costs, delays, and KPIs.
• Maintain records of logistics expenses and support cost control and optimization initiatives.
Compliance & Administration
• Ensure adherence to company SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits and inspections related to logistics, customs, and supply chain activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in logistics and supply chain processes.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in logistics, import/export documentation, or supply chain operations (manufacturing or trading sector preferred).
• Strong knowledge of import documentation and customs procedures.
• Proven experience in local transportation planning, vendor management, and team handling.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (West Africa).
