Referral: Scrub Nurse
Qualification: GNM/BSC Nursing
Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience as scrub nurse.
KNC Mandatory
OT experience mandatory
Job Description:
• Assist surgeons in major or minor operations.
• Maintain standards of nursing care in pre-operative and post-operative planning, implementation and patient care.
• Prepare the operating room for all emergency and scheduled procedures.
• Assist as a circulatory and scrub nurse.
• Keep principles of aseptic techniques in performing surgical scrub, setting instruments, gowning, gloving as needed for the procedure.
• Report any untoward reactions of patient to the surgeon or anesthetist.
• Carry out all the doctors order and directions.
• Checking daily inventories of medicines, instruments and equipment’s.
• Ensure prompt policy on the fumigation. (Sterilization of both theatres).
• Cleaning and disinfection policy at all times is mandatory.
• Checking the stock on a regular basis for maintaining the inventory level, and placing orders if required.
• Sending all sets to CSSD for autoclaving.
• Maintaining Narcotics and high risk medications.
• Check the list of equipment and their functioning.
• Indenting the OT Consumables/ pharmacy whenever theatre is in operation etc...
