Introduction: As a Barclays Scrum Master, you will work on multiple releases at a time, collaborating with the Stakeholders, Tech/Pillar leads and other developers as well as support Infrastructure teams during and for the release of software components within the project scope, ensuring quality and timeliness of the delivery What will you be doing Servicing the Team Coaching the team in self-organization and cross-functionality Removing impediments to the team's progress to its sprint commitments by facilitating the meetings throughout the Sprint Creating issues, bugs in EST Jira backlog and sprint wise, Manage Team Capacity, Velocity and Commitments to maximize team throughput during each sprint Conducting Agile Scrum project activities (planning, Inception, Iteration, sprint, story writing, sizing, grooming sessions Implementing and conducting Agile Scrum methodologies (Daily scrums, stand-ups, sprint review Sprint planning meetings to project progress and Retrospective meeting at the end of each sprint to focus on improvements and action plan Actively ensuring execution of sprint goals and delivery to the committed sprint work What we're looking for: Strong understanding of Agile software development methodology. Proven experience in delivering technical projects with sprint team(s) following Agile methodology. Ability to work in a challenging, geographically distributed and part-remote work environment. Ability to formulate appropriate metrics and measurements around teams delivery and setup automated process for reporting of metrics. Strong hands on experience in Jira (or equivalent tool) and Confluence (or equivalent tool). Experience of effecting organisational change to achieve agility. Experience working in fast paced and complex environment delivering complex programs/projects Working knowledge of managing Java, APIs/Micro services development teams. Working knowledge of release and change management process (ITIL). A strong work ethic - team player, creative, passionate and disciplined. Skills that will help you in the role: Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Professional or equivalent (i.e. Scrum.org or Scrum Alliance qualifications). Understanding of other application development methodologies like Scaled Agile (SAFe) , Waterfall etc. Understanding of Cloud concepts, DevOps and CI:CD. Working knowledge of testing
