- Ensures that the Team is fully functional, productive and pursues continuous innovation in their practices
- Helps the Team members achieve optimum productivity through close cooperation
- Functions as moderator and coaches the team in the Agile practices
- Collects metrics on the Team and Sprint to help the team improve
- Facilitates Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Planning
- Removes the obstacles or impediments faced by the team in its work
- Helps identify areas of improvement on team and organization level
