DealShare has a vision of enabling ecommerce for the next 500 million users in India in non-metro and rural markets. DealShare has raised series D funding of USD 100 million with key investors like Alteria Capital,Tiger Global Management,InnoVen Capital,Westbridge Capital Falcon Edge Capital, Matrix Partners India,and has a total funding of USD 144.7 million
Dealshare has 2 million customers across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Delhi NCR with monthly transactions of 1.2 million and annual GMV of $100 million. Our aim is to expand operations to 100 cities across India and reach annual GMV of USD 500 Million by end of 2021.
Dealshare started in Sept 2018 and had 5000 active customers in the first three months. Today we have 25K transactions per day, 1 Lakh DAU and 10 Lakh MAU with a monthly GMV of INR 100 Crores and 50% growth MoM. We aim to hit 2 Lakh transactions per day with an annual GMV of USD 500 Million by 2021.
We are hiring for various teams in discovery (search, recommendation, merchandising, intelligent notifications) , pricing (automated pricing, competition price awareness, balancing revenue with profits, etc), user growth and retention (bargains, gamification), monetisation (ads), order fulfillment (cart/checkout, warehousing, last mile, delivery promise, demand forecasting, location intelligence, delivery ETA), customer support, data infrastructure (warehousing, analytics, reporting, visualisation), ML infrastructure (data versioning, model repository, model training, model hosting, feature store, etc). We are looking for experienced engineers and passionate problem solvers to join us and lead solutioning, implementation and scaling of solves
You will:
• Responsible for designing, developing, releasing and supporting large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software systems; Contributing to tech stack choices as appropriate.
• Ensure that features/products can be scaled easily, are highly available, meet all non functional and functional requirements, are easy to maintain.
• Write code that has very good low level design, is easy to understand, maintain, extend, test. Influences best practices in the team.
• Key contributor to SDLC processes (code reviews, testing, CI/CD, etc), drive improvement in processes to increase efficiency and reliability.
• Create and manage execution plans with respect to delivery commitments.
• Mentoring juniors in the team
• Participate in hiring great candidates, contribute to improving hiring process.
Required
• Bachelors (4 years) or higher in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
• 4+ years of software development experience with 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture, design, and scaling of new/current web scale distributed system.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, relational databases, queuing systems, caching technologies is a must.
• Experience in mentoring junior tech team members is desired.
• Extremely good at problem solving, is a self thinker.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast paced timeline-driven environment.
• Good team player and ability to collaborate with others
• Self driven and motivated, very high on ownership
Is a plus
• Prior experience of using AWS and scaling solves - EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, Cloudfront, Redshift, etc
• 3+ years experience in Java
• Prior experience of working on big data technologies - Spark, Hadoop, etc
