We are a well funded B2B travel tech startup. We have raised ~USD 5mn Pre Series A investment round despite the global pandemic and are looking to grow our Product & Tech team. We are growing rapidly. We have crossed our pre-covid numbers. We want to become the world’s biggest B2B travel company by enabling over million travel agents, travel entrepreneurs and influencers to grow their business, and achieving Annualized GMV of $10 billion by 2026.
Profile Overview:
Backend Developer at TravClan is a key role which ensures a smooth experience for our customers on our website/app. You will work in close liaison with product owners and other internal teams providing solutions with various pieces of our platform including
• Django+NodeJs based Management Systems/Admin Panels
• Rest APIs
• Background/Asynchronous Jobs and Workers
• 3rd party integrations with Payment Gateways and Messaging Gateways
• Management Dashboards.
Growth Prospects:
• Annual CTC - 12 to 21 LPA
• ESOPs promotions + aggressive growth prospects (read further) !
• Fast Appraisal - Despite Covid, we had appraisals in 6 months in Jan & July 2020
• Aggressive Hikes - In May 2021 - Avg Hike was 35%

Desired Candidate Profile
• Ethical, hardworking, and 'passionate about startups' mindset
• Ability to understand and work with large sets of data
• Excellent structured problem-solving ability
• Good understanding of different business verticals
• Prior experience in developing excel/near sheet based tools and dashboard
• Willing to learn more
Must have technical skills
• At least three to seven years of experience in any one of the backend programming languages like Python/Java/Node/PHP/Dot Net/GoLang
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL
• Developing software solutions with MVC architecture and Restful APIs.
• Hands-on with Version control systems (GIT, SVN)
• Sound object-oriented skills (OOPs) including strong design patterns knowledge
• Experience in Linux
• Hands-on experience in debugging application issues.
• Basics of building Highly Available and Scalable Application
Good to have:
• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies in AWS or Google cloud or Azure will be an added advantage.
• Exp with at least 1 NoSQL database MongoDB/Memcache/Redis
• Exp with search technologies Elastic search/Solr.
• Exp building messaging-based asynchronous systems rabbitMQ/ Kafka/ SQS/ Celery will be an added advantage.
• Exp with Django/Flask frameworks will be an added advantage.
• Experience in requirement analysis, HLD, LLD, unit & integration testing.
• Knowledge of software best practices like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI) will be added advantage
