We are seeking a talented and experienced SDE2 Applications Engineer with a strong focus on React Native to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mobile application development and a passion for creating high-quality, scalable applications. As an SDE2, you will be responsible for building and maintaining mobile applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of top-notch user experiences.
Responsibilities
• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using React Native. Ensure code quality, performance, and responsiveness of the applications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Testing and Debugging: Write unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the applications. Debug and resolve issues to improve application performance and user experience.
• Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Identify bottlenecks and improve application efficiency.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in mobile development, particularly in React Native. Share knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all code and processes, ensuring that the codebase is well-organized and easily understood by other team members.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them grow their skills and contribute effectively to the team.
Required Skills And Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with mobile app development for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Knowledge of Tools and Libraries: Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX) and tools like Expo. Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and UI/UX design principles.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with native mobile development (iOS/Android).
• Knowledge of mobile CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools like JIRA.
• Experience with performance optimization and memory management in mobile applications.
