Where do you come into the picture?
As a Software Tester, you will have a major role to play in the quality assurance stage of software development. You will carry out manual/automation tests to ensure the software created meets the requirements. This involves the analysis of software to prevent issues and fixing bugs before the product is dispatched to users.
Requirements:
What expertise & experiences would you need to have to play this kind of role?
• Automation experience - Minimum 3+ years of mobile applications on Android and iOS
• Hands on exp in Appium Automation Tool.
• Experience in Jira and Test Rail.
• Proficient using bitbucket for Source control
• Hands on exp in a Relational Database like Postgres DB or MySQL/Oracle.
• Experience in Detox, Javascript or Typescript, Bitrise will be preferred.
• Analyzing the requirements from product owners
• Write test cases for various testing processes, peer review, create test data, executing test cases etc.
• Smoke, sanity and system testing of the release builds.
• Participate in PBR/Sprint planning/Retro etc. Should have fair knowledge of Agile concepts.
• Defect Tracking - Reporting of bugs to developers so as to fix it
• Providing suggestions from time to time to improve software quality.
• Work closely with your peers across disciplines, influencing the entire engineering team to adopt best practices both in engineering and in agile process.
• Build and contribute to test infrastructure and tools at an early stage.
