Job Overview
As a Sea Freight Pricing Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and coordinating with various stakeholders to determine the most competitive pricing for our sea freight services. Your primary goal will be to optimize profitability and ensure pricing strategies are aligned with the overall business objectives and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
• Pricing Strategy and Analysis:
• Analyze market conditions, customer demands, and competitor pricing strategies to identify opportunities.
• Develop and implement pricing structures that are competitive, profitable, and aligned with customer requirements.
• Conduct periodic pricing reviews to assess effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
• Cost Management and Profitability:
• Collaborate with internal departments, including Operations and Procurement, to gather cost-related information and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Analyze and monitor cost and profitability trends to recommend effective cost management and pricing strategies.
• Identify potential cost optimizations to improve overall profitability.
• Customer Relationship Management:
• Collaborate with Sales and Account Management teams to understand customer needs and expectations.
• Provide competitive pricing and pricing strategies to support sales efforts and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with customer service teams to address pricing-related inquiries or issues from clients.
• Market Research and Insights:
• Conduct regular market research to gather information on industry trends, competitor pricing strategies, and customer preferences.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, tariffs, and other factors affecting sea freight pricing.
• Utilize market insights to recommend pricing adjustments, promotions, or new pricing models to achieve a competitive edge.
Qualifications And Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in sea freight pricing or a related role, preferably within the logistics or shipping industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret market data and make informed pricing decisions.
• Strong understanding of sea freight industry dynamics, including rates, surcharges, and market trends.
• Proficient in using pricing tools, data analysis software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
