Seasonal Foreman

Position Overview
As the Seasonal Foreman, you will play a key role in overseeing and guiding the Harvester Service Team, ensuring seamless coordination of workloads to maximise efficiency, productivity, and quality repair outcomes. This hands-on leadership position involves actively working alongside the Harvester team (80-90% on the tools) while also managing essential administrative tasks (10-20%) to support smooth operations. Your expertise in both technical repairs and team coordination will be instrumental in delivering high-quality service and maintaining a well-organised, results-driven work environment.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Support both Gunnedah and Quirindi AOR
Lead preseason harvester, picker, and front programs
Act as the conduit between the Service Manager and the Harvester Technicians
Monitor workshop team and ensure efficiency with all daily task with technicians through direction, training and daily toolbox chats.
Assignment of header workshop and field jobs and work areas to Service Department employees according to their skills and knowledge
Identify gaps and opportunities to further build efficiency and revenue through building relationships and exceeding customer expectation
Diagnose and interpret machine faults and support the team to perform service, repairs and maintenance on agricultural machinery
Collate and apprise each job card to ensure all details are documented correctly
Complete quotes and appraisals of workshop repair orders
Train and mentor technicians in harvesting equipment
Improve job quality, efficiency, and turnaround times
Built stronger proactive engagement with customers
The Ideal Candidate:
3+ years of experience as a qualified Service Technicians.
Qualifications in HV Diesel Mechanics or similar.
Ability to lead, train, and coach others and write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
Familiar with John Deere and competitive products. Forklift licence preferred.
Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and Internet
