Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Second Fix Carpenter to carry out high-quality finishing carpentry works on our construction projects. This role focuses on internal finishes and requires precision, craftsmanship, and a strong eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
Install doors, door frames, and hardware
Fit skirting boards, architraves, and trims
Install cabinetry, wardrobes, and internal joinery
Hang internal doors and install locks and handles
Complete final carpentry works prior to handover
Read and interpret architectural drawings and finishing schedules
Ensure high-quality finishes in line with project specifications
Identify and rectify defects during finishing stages
Maintain a clean and safe work environment (WHS compliance)
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as a Second Fix / Finish Carpenter
Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
Ability to read and follow plans and finishing schedules
Experience with residential or commercial fit-outs
White Card (mandatory)
Carpentry trade qualification (preferred)
Own tools and reliable transport (preferred)
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
