Secondary School Teacher
STUDIO SCHOOLS OF AUSTRALIA LTD, is looking for a full-time (at least 38 hours per week) permanent Secondary School Teacher to join their team at Manjali Studio School to work and perform the following duties and tasks:
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Planning and delivering secondary school lessons across core subject areas using engaging, student-focused teaching methods;
● Teaching classroom programs that combine academic learning with practical, creative, and community-based activities to improve student participation and outcomes;
● Explaining concepts, leading discussions, and facilitating learning activities tailored to students with varying educational abilities and learning styles;
● Assessing student understanding through assignments, class participation, projects, presentations, and ongoing classroom observation;
● Adapting lesson content, teaching strategies, and classroom support to meet individual student learning needs and educational goals;
● Encouraging students to develop literacy, numeracy, communication, problem-solving, and independent learning skills through structured educational activities;
● Preparing lesson plans, educational resources, assessment materials, and classroom activities in line with curriculum and school learning objectives;
● Supporting student engagement, attendance, and academic progress through mentoring, classroom guidance, and positive behavioural management strategies;
● Incorporating technology, hands-on learning experiences, and collaborative projects into teaching programs to enhance classroom learning outcomes;
● Participating in curriculum planning, staff collaboration, parent communication, and professional development activities to support continuous educational improvement.
Requirements
● Relevant teaching qualification.
● At least 1 year of experience.
● Strong classroom management, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to effectively plan lessons and meet curriculum requirements.
● Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond calmly to challenging classroom and student situations.
● Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
● Commitment to supporting student learning, wellbeing, and academic development in a secondary school environment.
● Understanding of, or willingness to learn about, Aboriginal culture, community values, and inclusive educational practices.

Salary offered: $80,000 - $150,000
