Job Title: Sr. SecOps Engineer
Location: Chennai (Work from Office - 5 Days)
Summary:
As a Sr. SecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of our systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with development, architecture, and DevOps teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities, implement security best practices, automate security processes, and ensure compliance with corporate and industry standards. You will also conduct security assessments, identify risk owners, and implement mitigating controls.
Required Skills/Experience:
• 5+ years of relevant experience in AWS security.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Bash, Python, etc.
• Hands-on experience with remediating security in:
• IAM, S3, AWS Security Groups, NACL, IGW, VPC Network Firewall, VPC, Endpoints and other AWS resources.
• Expertise in writing JSON IAM and S3 policies with a deep understanding of AWS policy language.
• Experience in AWS account security auditing.
• Scripting experience using AWS API’s (boto3 or AWS CLI).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking principles and protocols.
• Experience in maintaining secure and reliable cloud infrastructure (OS patching, backup, monitoring, secure logging, and user account creation).
• Ability to support or modify AWS infrastructure and services for security hardening.
• Familiarity with cloud deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based workloads.
• Stay updated with the latest AWS security trends and emerging cloud security technologies.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation in Atlassian Confluence.
• Proficiency in Atlassian Jira for ticketing and project management.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for technical security issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must be available to work mostly in Pacific daytime hours (until 2 PM Pacific Time).
• Desired Skills/Experience:
• AWS Security-Specialty Certification with a minimum of 3 years of practical experience securing AWS environments.
• Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of overall industry experience.
