About the team
The Anti-Dumping Review Panel (ADRP) Secretariat sits within the Legal Practice of the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (the department). The Secretariat is a small, agile team which works cooperatively and collaboratively to provide administrative and paralegal support to the ADRP, a statutory panel established to review certain anti-dumping decisions of the Minister for Industry & Science and the Anti-Dumping Commissioner.

The ability to prepare draft Ministerial briefs, correspondence and other public notices.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build constructive working relationships with ADRP members, ADRP stakeholders and departmental colleagues.
What you will do
As the Secretariat Officer, you will:

Undertake legal research and complex projects associated with the ADRP and assist with legal requests from the ADRP as required.
Draft Ministerial submissions, policy documents, Practice Statements and Instructions and Guidelines in relation to the ADRP.
Draft public notices in relation to ADRP activities.
Use computer-based applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access Database, Power BI and other systems to produce correspondence, reports and other material to support the ADRP.
Liaise with, actively develop and maintain working relationships with the ADRP and associated stakeholders (including the Anti-Dumping Commission (ADC), applicants seeking an ADRP review, Australian manufacturers and importers of goods, and foreign exporters).
Assist to monitor the ADRP mailbox and ensure applications/submissions/requests/emails are dealt with in a timely manner.
Assist with payment arrangements for the ADRP members.
Maintain the ADRP’s public record by preparing draft material and content prior to quality assurance.
Attend, facilitate and take minutes of meetings with ADRP members.
Prepare procurement documentation for the goods and services associated with supporting the ADRP.
Assist with managing the statutory appointments process for members.
Eligibility
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.

Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.

Notes
A background in law, previous paralegal or legal experience is desirable.
Previous experience working in a Secretariat or administrative role within the Commonwealth Government is preferable.

A merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised in the Gazette.

The department does currently offer flexible work opportunities for many roles. This vacancy is ACT - Industry House based, although flexible or remote work arrangements may be considered. Please reach out to the contact officer to discuss this further.
