Qualifications
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Must be able to reasonably make appropriate judgment in communications and actions with patient, physicians, other associates, outside agencies,and vendors
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Other: Excellent computer, verbal and written communication skills required
Light, accurate typing and some knowledge of business correspondence format required
Responsibilities
Performs a wide variety of secretarial and clerical duties in support of the Executive Office under the direction of the Administrative Assistant and Medical Staff Coordinator
Answers and screens telephone calls

Assists with conference room bookings, processing meal function requisitions for Dietary Department, Environmental Services for room set up, scheduling requested equipment with the Maintenance Department
Mails forms, reference inquiries to schools and previous affiliations, sets up candidate file with control form to record chronological application status
Copies, collates and distributes a variety of correspondence
Assists with maintaining attendance records and recording continuing education credits for attendance at rounds and committee meetings
Sorts and files miscellaneous correspondence on a daily basis
May do some typing of forms, correspondence, etc
Supports activities of Administrative Assistant and Medical Staff Coordinator
Performs other duties as required or assigned

Position Summary
