About this role
We are seeking a skilled Security Guard to contribute to the security and protective service of NZDF staff and visitors to Trentham Military Camp.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, maintaining physical security and safety, and assisting with emergency and evacuation procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining high standards of professionalism through ongoing training;
Recognising, reporting on, and taking appropriate action on incidents, risks, breaches, and suspicious behaviour;
De-escalating situations and using relationship management and communication skills to deal with staff, visitors, and others in a helpful and positive way;
The salary for this role is between $71,730 and $83,684, inclusive of 4% super contribution and salary loading payment.
Candidates should have prior experience in operational security and be familiar with shift work. They will also need excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, ability to de-escalate situations, and deal with a variety of people.
