What is the role like?
A Security Engineering Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of security engineers, developing and implementing security strategies, and ensuring the protection of an organization's data and systems from cyber threats.
This role involves leading technical incident response, developing and maintaining security policies, and staying up-to-date on the latest security threats and technologies. Ability to evaluate and implement security technologies (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR and so on).
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of cybersecurity engineers, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks and long-term career development.
Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the organization's assets and data.
Security Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure, including network security, endpoint security, and cloud security.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, security protocols, and security technologies. Technical and architectural expertise in SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR tools technologies. Experience with incident response methodologies and playbooks. Familiarity with cloud security concepts and technologies .
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve security issues. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple incidents concurrently
