• Access Control: Monitor and control access to the building and secured areas; verify identification.
• Patrol Duties: Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the premises to detect and deter unauthorized activities, safety hazards, and suspicious behavior.
• Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other incidents; provide appropriate assistance and report outcomes.
• Surveillance: Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and other security equipment to detect and respond to security threats.
• Report Writing: Accurately document daily activities, observations, incidents, and irregularities using company-issued reports or software.
• Customer Service: Provide clear directions and helpful assistance to employees and visitors while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety and security procedures are followed; assist in enforcing company policies and local regulations.
• Emergency Procedures: Support evacuation drills and emergency response plans; serve as a point of contact for emergency responders.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Active/Valid California Guard Card - Required
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a security or protective services role preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and enforcement procedures.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to quickly respond to emergencies, including climbing stairs or moving swiftly across the property.
