Security Guard (F-80 required)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Guard. The ideal candidate will possess strong qualities such as excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of security protocols and procedures. The Security Guard will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our client’s premises, assets, and personnel. This position requires an F-80 and a valid NYS Security Guard License.

Position Summary:

This site is a commercial building site located in Manhattan. Now, we are seeking a polished Security Guard who can represent our brand. Main responsibilities include making sure the safety of all in the facility.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for security procedures and protocols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for any suspicious activity or security breaches.
Conduct investigations into security incidents, including reviewing footage from security cameras and interviewing witnesses.
Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents, reports, and actions taken.
Perform regular assessments of security equipment and systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
Monitor access control systems and ensure that only authorized individuals are allowed entry into restricted areas.
Respond promptly to alarms and other security alerts, taking appropriate action as necessary.
Provide support and assistance to other departments as needed to ensure a coordinated approach to security and safety.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in security management or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a security-related field.
Strong knowledge of security procedures, protocols, and best practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using security equipment and systems, including CCTV cameras and access control systems.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform duties that may require standing, walking, or patrolling for extended periods.
Valid security guard license required prior to assignment.

Work Environment

Typical commercial environment.
Willing and able to work additional hours as needed to ensure responsibilities are met with prior authorization.
Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma / GED
Experience: entry level position

The rate for this role is $17.50 an hour. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, skill level, functional and/or industry knowledge, education level, certifications, as well as other qualifications.
