GSSi, Inc. is a 4th generation family-owned security company with 81 years of experience. Our Corporate office in Wilmington, CA is currently seeking an experienced Armed or Unarmed vehicle Patrol Officer to patrol a Business District in Northeast Los Angeles.
• MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER LICENSE w/CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.
SCHEDULE: Wednesday - Sunday
HOURS: 1800 - 0200
PAY:
Unarmed starts at $18.75hr / Rate will be $19.00hr July 1, 2026
Armed starts at $20.00hr + .25cents per hour firearm maintenance.
Rate will be $21.25hr July 1, 2026
• Must get baton/tear gas certified within 60 days of employment.
BASIC DUTIES:
- Operate a company patrol vehicle in a designated geographic patrol area
- Customer Service
- Complete reports via company smart phone
- Observe and report
- Respond to calls for service (trespassing, loitering)
- Call Law Enforcement to handle problems that security can not.
• This is an observe and report post, security officers do not engage in hands on contact, detentions, or arrests.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have good driving record (no DUI, reckless driving, etc)
-Valid BSIS guard card
- Valid BSIS firearm card (for armed)
- Valid BSIS baton permit (for unarmed/armed)
- Tear Gas permit
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely
- Good customer service skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work OT, weekends, holidays
