As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Rounds in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. You will support riders and staff with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of unusual activity. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
Monitor access points and public areas, assist with wayfinding, and help manage orderly movement of people during peak times and special events.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and local public agencies as needed.
Complete timely reports, document incidents and patrol activity, and communicate key information to supervisors and oncoming personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
Have a minimum of two years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Baton certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
