About the Role

To effectively and efficiently manage the security function of the hotel so that its guests, associates, operations, and assets are protected and secure. The Safety and Security Manager position serves as the Functional Head of the Hotel Security Department and is responsible for all safety and security matters at the property. This position will serve as the Security and Safety Advisor to the General Manager and the hotel Leadership Committee for all security and safety related matters of the hotel.

Some responsibilities of this role include:

Security support to all departments across the Hotel

Fire Safety – including patrols and hazard identification

Employee and Asset Protection

Maintenance of the Hotel’s Emergency Management Plan

Development and implementation of various Hotel Safety & Security procedures

Ensuring compliance with company policy and procedure

Incident response, investigation and report writing

Monitoring CCTV and internal alarms

Providing proactive public security presence

Qualifications

We are seeking a disciplined and passionate individual with a minimum of 3 years experience in a Security Management role within a corporate environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer care, safety and security, be computer literate and possess strong administration skills.

Qualifications

Professional diploma or certificate in Safety and Security

Advanced Resuscitation Certificate

Fire Wardens Certificate

Investigations qualification or experience is desirable

Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation

Proven ability in conflict de-escalation skills

Computer literate – Word, Excel and Access

Ability to work varying shifts
