Security - Night Guard PART TIME

Job description
SUMMARY: Monitor the premise through closed-circuit TV cameras. Ensure safe and proper incoming and outgoing traffic. Provide telephone support to employees and customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To ensure that the building/premise assigned to him is safe and secured.
• Monitor the premise through closed-circuit TV cameras.
• Provide telephone and admin support for employees.
• Ensures the gate is opened and closed according to policy and procedures.
• Responds to customer inquiries regarding their accounts or our services in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains a safe and secure work environment by following Rapid's safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Great verbal and written communication
• Available by telephone.
• Legally able to work in the US.
• Willing and able to carry and use a firearm while on duty.
• Has adequate transportation to and from work.
• Solid work history also a must.
• Able to work a flexible work schedule. This is an overnight position. Must be available for work during the hours of 9pm to 6am. On occasion, maybe required to work up to 6 days a week, with rotational days off as scheduled These hours may include weekends and holidays.
• Able and willing to attend both initial and annual training as required by the company, State or City.
• Agrees to consistently follow firearms, and operational procedures and uphold company policies and standards set forth by the company in the employee handbook and operational documentation and manuals.

Licensing and Certification:

Ability to obtain and carry a valid City Of New York Carry Guard license permit for a handgun. In addition, a shotgun license may also be required at the discretion of the company.
• The 47 hour armed guard course certificate is Preferred.
• Obtain any other ID's, licenses or registrations required by local, state, or federal authorities.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
• Stand/Sit for long periods of time.
• Work at least 8 hours in confined areas without leaving the building.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays is a must
• Ability to work overnight between 9pm and 6am

REQUIREMENTS FOR INDIVIDUALS WORKING AN OVERNIGHT SHIFT

Individuals working an overnight shift must be able to work alone, without direct supervision, for the entire shift period. Attendance and punctuality are particularly essential as generally there are no "back-up" personnel to staff this shift.
