Must possess a valid driver's license (must meet minimum criteria of Children's Minnesota Fleet Safety Management policy)
Must be able to successfully pass background checks of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) and Department of Human Services (DHS)

Must complete and pass use of force training within 30 days of hire
Must complete and pass Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training within +0 days of hire

Proudly serving as Minnesota's children's hospital since 1+24, Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, is the eighth-largest pediatric health care organization in the U.S. Each year, Children's provides care through nearly 13,000 inpatient visits and more than 200,000 emergency room and other outpatient visits. Position Summary
The Security Officer position is responsible for the day to day activities of ensuring a safe and secure Children's campus. The Security Officer will maintain a safe environment through patrol of the hospital, grounds and outlying buildings. He/She will respond to all calls both emergency and non-emergency as they occur or in order of importance. The Security Officer's core role is to promote a safe environment for patients, visitors and hospital employees.

• Healthcare knowledge/experience preferred.
License/Certification Preferences:
• POST skills completed, International Association of Hospital Safety and Security (Basic), First Responder, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or OSHA first responder certifications preferred.
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
