Exciting opportunity available for a Corporate Security Officer, based in at our client’s premises, London Hosting Centre.
The ideal candidate will possess the skills to deliver an effective and efficient service.
The position requires you to have a high level of self-presentation, customer service & communication skills are essential along with a positive/helpful attitude.
Position: Security Officer-London Hosting Centre
Location: London Hosting Centre, London E14 +NN
Pay rate: £13.15 per hour
Shift Pattern: 2 week rolling rota-Days, Nights Weekends (av. 56h pw)
Role Requirements: Valid SIA licence

Must have:
• Valid SIA licence
• Proven work experience as a Security Guard or relevant position min 1 year
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Surveillance skills and detail orientation
• IT literate- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
Duties:
• Report any issues to the supervisor or duty manager
• Ensure all instructions, both written and verbal are adhered to
• Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry, restraining trespassers
• Conduct foot patrols within defined areas as an effective deterrent in the protection of the client’s property and assets.
• Investigate and take the appropriate lawfully action as authorized by the corporate policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety and fire incidents
• Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage, and signatures
• Carry out ID checks
• Be vigilant to the Health and Safety risks
• Excellent communication skills to all levels – verbally, written, phone and by security radio’s
• Work effectively as part of a team or can work on own initiative
• A positive attitude to dealing with people and taking on challenges
