Job Description
We are currently looking for a Night Security Officer. The overall purpose of this job is to ensure the overall safety of people and property on the estate and will be responsible for controlling unauthorised access, preventing theft or vandalism. The post holder will also be responsible for handling access control and visitor management and will assist the concierge team whenever required.
Working Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 7pm-7am
Location: EC1V
What You’ll Do
In all areas, ensure that company policies and procedures are consistently applied to required standards. Duties include but are not limited to:
• To perform your duties and provide an overall security service, in the prescribed manner, as instructed by the General Manager or Facilities Manager.
• To inspect, on a daily basis, all external areas of the private residential buildings and when necessary internal areas that have been reported with any problems, security or health and safety concerns to the General Manager and Duty Manager. Key areas include Car Park, Estate walkways and Gardens. Regular patrols to the internals are also expected to be undertaken to ensure all corridors and exits are clear of any obstructions.
• To conduct the required health and safety inspections and activities to assist in keeping the development and workplace a safe environment for all.
• To enter all relevant comments/ details in the security log, and liaising with the estate concierge officers ensuring the signing in and out of all contractors and service personnel in attendance to the communal areas of the estate. Supervising any keys which may be held in the security office ensuring that they are correctly logged in and out in accordance with the agreed procedures.
Experience
What you’ll bring
• Experience of working in a high end customer service establishment.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information and sensitive matters that may involve the general public and handling issues and queries with professionalism.
• Practical application and working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and legislation to eliminate or mitigate risk in the workplace
