JOB SUMMARY:
Maintain the security of the construction site by patrolling all parts of the property, vehicles, tenants and visitors.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Serve as the "eyes and ears" of property management through observation and reporting.
• Perform vehicle patrol of the construction site.
• Deter criminal acts against the property, tenants and visitors to the property, and vehicles while on property.
• If notice unsafe behavior, confront behavior cautiously so it can be corrected in a professional manner, write down the issue as an incident report and contact the supervisor on duty.
• Must stay away from open holes while on duty and report unmanned holes to a safety representative immediately.
• Secure entrance during non-operating hours.
• Inspection of exterior fencing checking for security breaches.
• Maintain watch over construction equipment.
• Maintain watch over office trailers and their contents.
• Perform inventory check on all the equipment at the beginning and end of shift.
• Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to legally work in the United States
• Must have at least one year of security guard experience
• Must have security guard card
• Shows mature judgment, reliability, dependability, tactfulness and self-control
• Ability to retain composure and perform under pressure and to know when to call for assistance
• Ability to meet and deal effectively with the general public
• Ability to give instructions clearly and concisely, firmly but diplomatically
• Ability to construct and write clear, concise, accurate and detailed reports
• Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
• Ability to wear and use all protective equipment
