Security Operations Center (SOC) Team Leader
The Security Operations Center (SOC) Team Leader plays a key role in ensuring efficient, professional communication and operational support across FCi’s client base. This in-office position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Security Operations Center, coordinating team activities, managing incoming inquiries, supporting internal technical teams, and maintaining the key systems used in the delivery of our security services.
The SOC Team Leader will lead the team’s daily operational activities while actively participating in service delivery. This includes providing hands-on operational support, coordinating workflows, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring that service standards and operational efficiency are consistently maintained. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English and French).
Key Responsibilities
The duties of the SOC Team Leader include, but are not limited to, the following:
Oversee the daily operations of the Security Operations Center by managing team activities and ensuring the efficient handling of client communications and service requests.
Provide professional and efficient telephone support for all FCi clients during regular business hours, taking ownership of incoming inquiries when required.
Serve as an active operational leader by coordinating workflows, prioritizing tasks, and supporting team members to ensure smooth and effective service delivery.
Actively participate in SOC service delivery by providing hands-on operational and technical support as needed.
Deliver technical support to both internal technical staff and external clients to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Train, support, guide, and coordinate SOC staff to promote effective communication, productivity, and high-quality service delivery.
Fully utilize the capabilities of Job Builder to enhance operational efficiency.
Maintain, access, and update information within both internal and external databases as required.
Report system or service issues to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
Perform troubleshooting to assist with technical issues when necessary.
Conduct downloading of system updates or configurations as required.
Create and maintain Monitoring and Maintenance Agreements and related documentation.
Assist in the development and continuous improvement of SOC processes, procedures, and service standards.
