This is a Casual appointment, with the possibility of fixed term full time or fixed term part time appointments and/or permanency.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
Position Profile: The Security Operations Officer delivers an integrated security function across WA Country Health Service (WACHS) sites, supporting safe and inclusive environments for patients, staff, and visitors. The role contributes to effective service delivery through physical security presence, technology-enabled security operations, and mental health patient transport. Operating within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting, the role supports the management of workplace violence and aggression, applying verbal de-escalation as the primary response and supporting clinically directed, least-restrictive interventions in accordance with legislation and policy. The position works with a high level of autonomy while collaborating with security, clinical, and operational stakeholders to support coordinated responses and continuity of care.
