The Queensland Police Service is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Protective Services Officer to join our team. As a Protective Services Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, clients, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

As a Protective Services Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

Providing static and mobile security services to state and government departments;
">
Working closely with other agencies to achieve our goals;
">
Conducting observations of the interior and exterior of Government buildings and facilities;
">
Undertaking general inspection duties, including operating specialized security equipment;
">
Providing back-up assistance to other Protective Services officers in critical incident situations;
">
Controlling the entering of personnel and parking of vehicles on Government property;
">
Detecting and reporting fires and other building hazards;
">
Assisting in the emergency evacuation of Government buildings;
">
Ensuring the quality and appropriateness of all communications with clients and members of the public.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

The ability to work independently and as part of a team;

High levels of physical fitness and endurance;

Ability to operate specialized security equipment;

A current First Aid Certificate.
