What you will be doing:
Lead the Security team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed
Ensure luxury guest experiences are provided through seamless service
Communicate through pre-shift logs, emails and departmental meetings all pertinent information for the respective shift and areas of operation
Complete necessary departmental administrative tasks including scheduling, payroll, performance management and coaching, in collaboration
Assist in the creation of policies and procedures with regards to Hotel Safety & Security
Organize scheduled departmental meetings
Ensure the overall safety and security of the hotel guests, Colleagues and hotel premises
Act as a lead member of the Emergency Response Team, respond and direct in cases of fire, accident, safety concerns and calls for medical assistance
Respond to all emergency situations and provide First Aid and C.P.R. as required
Report and investigate occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity, and crisis situations
Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
Previous experience in a Security role required
Previous experience in Security leadership role preferred
Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
Valid BC Security License - Required
Certification in CPR First Aid – OFA Level 2 - required
University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
