Qualifications and Experience;
Minimum 1-2 years security technician apprentice experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Trouble-shooting skills.
Highly organized and attentive to detail.
Strong computer skills.
Experience with installation and maintenance of the following would be an asset:
Access Control Systems (Lenel, AMAG, Genetec, Kantech)
Intrusion systems; (DSC, Alarm.com, Bosch)
CCTV systems (Avigilon, Genetec, Salient).
Education: High School diploma required.
Technologist Certificate or Computer Networking Courses preferred.
Manufacturer certifications (Kantech, DSC, Lenel, Pelco, Avigilon, AMAG, …)
Valid driver’s license.
Government Secret Clearance a must. Ideally already cleared.
Language: English/French.
Responsibilities;
Basic knowledge of all components of security systems. Ex: access control, analog & IP video surveillance, intercoms, networking, remote connections, etc.
Basic experience; Running cable, installing & servicing field devices, programming.
Communicate well with coworkers.
Able to read and understand manuals for installations and/or troubleshooting.
Assist other team members.
Keep records updated.
Punctual.
Eager to learn, improve and assist.
