Join our Security Team as a Security Team Leader, where you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining security standards and driving best practices within our Distribution Centre.
Job Overview
• Oversee gatehouse processes, ensuring seamless access and egress management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Security Officers to maintain consistency in standards and performance.
• Conduct searches of colleagues and visitors following established procedures.
• Organise schedules and manage investigations.
• Assist with subject access requests promptly and effectively.
• Manage Security Officers’ performance, attendance, and conduct.
• Represent security operations at site/departmental leadership meetings.
• Support fire evacuations within the Distribution Centre as a trained Fire Marshal.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and operational changes.
• Conduct regular site patrols, perform yard marshal duties, and carry out container and seal audits.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with GDPR through robust record-keeping practices.
Minimum Criteria To Apply
• Proven background in a logistics or DC security role; team leadership experience is desirable.
• Familiarity with Distribution Centre functions and Microsoft Office packages.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Coaching and team-building expertise.
• The ability to influence key stakeholders effectively.

Package
• £25,+60 per annum (plus 1+% NSA between 10pm and 6am)
• 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 18:00pm – 06:00am
• 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year including bank and public holiday allowance rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years' service
