Job Description:
Position Overview:As an AC Technician at Cool Max Service, you will play a pivotal role in our operations by installing, repairing, and maintaining air conditioning systems. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that HVAC systems operate efficiently to meet our clients' comfort needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Maintenance: Install, inspect, maintain, and repair various types of air conditioning systems, including split systems, central air units, and ductless mini-splits.
Diagnosis: Identify and diagnose malfunctions and issues in HVAC systems to determine the most effective and efficient repair methods.
Repairs: Perform repairs or replacements of faulty components such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, and refrigerant lines.
Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine preventative maintenance to extend the life of HVAC systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing filters and other components.
Refrigerant Handling: Properly handle and dispose of refrigerants in accordance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all service and maintenance activities, including work orders, service reports, and equipment histories.
Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with clients to explain repair options, provide estimates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
Qualifications:
• No School or College degree required.
• Proven experience as an AC Technician.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniques.
• Familiarity with refrigerant handling and EPA certification is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
