About the role

As a Senior Accountability & Governance Advisor, you will work in the Office of Accountability within Secretariat and Accountability, to support, promote and foster an accountability culture for Australian Retirement Trust (ART). You will be required to contribute to the ongoing embedment and operationalisation of ART's accountability framework, ensuring compliance with the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR).


Day to day, you'll:

Support and embed Australian Retirement Trust’s FAR obligations including:
Develop and maintain accountability maps and statements, and coordinate reporting to relevant regulatory bodies as required.
Review and enhance the suite of tools, policies and templates required to further embed the FAR framework.
Enhance and design appropriate governance controls to ensure structural, policy and process changes are incorporated.
Work closely with Business Area Leaders on related matters (e.g., CPS511 Remuneration Frameworks).
Support and embrace an accountability culture in the organisation that is aligned with organisational and risk culture, ensuring regular engagement with senior stakeholders.
Proactively monitor the FAR regulatory landscape, working collaboratively with legal and compliance to analyse impacts of legislative and regulatory requirements and to assess whether legal and regulatory breaches are also a breach of FAR obligations.
We have two opportunities available - Permanent and a 12-month fixed-term/ secondment opportunity. (This role is known internally as an Accountability Senior Analyst).


About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

Demonstrated background in the Financial Services industry in a risk, compliance or support role within the BEAR or FAR construct.
Understanding of risk management and governance processes and practices including risk profiling, control assessment and mitigating treatments.
Ability to clearly articulate and explain complex information concisely and accurately, through the most effective medium.
Demonstrated experience leading the delivery of key projects and change initiatives.
Proven capabilities designing and implementing frameworks, systems, and processes that add value.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented and ability to operate autonomously.
