Senior Accountant

Robert Half is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant for our local clients ongoing needs in the area. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant with a strong background in financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. The Senior Accountant will oversee and perform a variety of accounting tasks, including financial reporting, account reconciliations, and assisting with audits. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, advanced knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP• Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes• Manage general ledger activity, including journal entries and adjustments• Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement• Provide guidance and support to accounting staff as needed• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations
