Basic Function Reporting to Accounting Supervisor, this position is to provide governance of financial reporting and internal controls for the entities in AfMEI region. There is a requirement to operate in accordance with Corporate Accounting Policies (US GAAP and IFRS) and IND AS and maintain proper relations with local external auditors. This position also supports the General Accounting Team Lead under a dotted line reporting (to the extent of 20%FTE) to ensure accurate, complete and timely transactional processing with consistent application of global accounting procedures (in line with accounting policy). Transactional responsibilities include Intercompany Recharge creating and maintaining accruals and prepayments, allocations, miscellaneous manual journal entries, preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and performing flux analyses for assigned accounts, all in line with US GAAP, IFRS and statutory provisions for the responsible entities in AfMEI region. Roles & Responsibilities Responsibilities And Accountabilities Chief Accounting Officer • Monthly closure and finalization of accounts in conformity with Indian GAAP & USGAAP. • Ensure all the tax related GLs are updated and reconciled • Ensure timely & quality account reconciliation on CCERT for CAO area • Maintain Internal financial control evidences for CAO area • Co-ordination and resolution of business processes and operational issues requiring finance involvement. • Ensure timely and accurate submission of the monthly/ quarterly/ annual group reporting information to the Corporate/ consolidation team • Preparation and circulation of MIS to local management viz., monthly financial results (Balance sheet, Profit & Loss, cash flow, head count). • Preparation of Non-PRD and PRD reports. • Co-ordination of external Audit. Ensure timely submission of information to auditors, completion of audit field work as per schedule and sign off before due date. • Ensure timely submission of annual accounts to MCA and tax authorities. • Ensure timely closure of cost audit • Provide necessary support during internal audit. • Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned General Accounting (to the extent of 20% FTE) • Assist General Accounting Team Lead to drive General Accounting standard operating procedures (SOPs) and compliance with focus on supporting AFMEI entities viz. ensure accurate IC recharge & margins in line with Intercompany agreements. • Review Trial Balance and General Ledger on monthly basis. Ensure clean General Ledges and timely closure of open items. • Bring suggestions forward to the General Accounting Regional Process Lead, Asia & AfMEI for appropriate process performance metrics and indicators. • Provide support to the General Accounting Regional Process Lead, Asia & AfMEI for tracking implemented performance indicators and metrics and explaining trends in performance. • Flexible attitude towards availability and support of broader initiatives across FS&T (as applicable and approved by Management team). • Understand and take appropriate actions to continuously meet expectations and actively seek opportunities to exceed expectations of customers and governance functions in providing accounting services. • Deliver standardized tasks, activities and sub-processes alignment across the team to the expectations of the General Accounting Regional Process Lead, Asia & AfMEI. Work together with other regional teams or departments to deliver assigned tasks. • Continue to seek and provide suggestions for process improvement initiatives. Support and implement process improvement initiatives approved by process owner. • Perform SOX controls and maintain evidence of control for area of responsibility. • Implement and maintain desktop procedures for area of responsibility • Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned Education Min.
