Description
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. This role involves various accounting tasks, including full cycle accounting and balance sheet reconciliation. The Senior Accountant will also be expected to use various software systems such as SAP and Microsoft Excel to manage and process data.
Responsibilities
• Conduct full cycle accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial records.
• Utilize SAP for accounting operations and data management.
• Prepare and post journal entries as part of month-end close procedures.
• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation regularly to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Communicate effectively with operations teams to ensure alignment and understanding of financial data.
• Work independently to manage and prioritize tasks.
• Ensure all accounting practices align with CPA standards and regulations.
• Analyze and resolve customer inquiries related to financial data.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification is considered a plus.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of full cycle accounting experience
• Proficient in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, General Ledger, and Journal Entries.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary for data management and analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with Month End Close procedures is required.
• Must have practical knowledge and experience working with SAP software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
• Must have legal right to work in the location of the position.
