The Finance department within Bristol Zoological Society plays a vital role in ensuring the Society’s financial health and accountability. They manage budgets, reforecasts, track income and expenditure, and ensure that funds are utilised effectively to support the conservation projects and initiatives both in the UK and abroad. This team is responsible for preparing monthly and annual financial reports, overseeing grant funding reporting and maintaining compliance with regulatory bodies. We advise the leadership team on financial planning and risk management and support the entire society on individual budgets and spending.
With a new strategy in place to create a world-class Bristol Zoo and conservation and sustainability at its heart, the new Bristol Zoo Project will offer spacious, modern facilities, significant growth in our conservation and education work, and an innovative and exciting visitor experience.
The role will help to realise our vision of saving wildlife together, and you will be involved in supporting our transformation programme – driving visitor numbers at Bristol Zoo Project and excitement as plans for the new Zoo progress.
