Growing manufacturing company in Nassau County is looking to hire a Senior Accountant. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to accelerate their career and work in a fast-paced environment and learn a tremendous amount in an highly desirable and competetive industry!
Responsibilities:
• Prepare journal entries to be posted to the general ledger
• Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
• Participate in year-end financial audits by providing workpaper documentation
• Maintaining general ledger charts of accounts
• Assisting with various internal and external financial reporting requirements
• Posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
• Performing variance analysis on both the Balance Sheet and Income Statement
• Various ad-hoc reports as needed
Requirements:
• BS or advance degree in Accounting required
• 3-4+ years of total experience with a combination of public accounting and private accounting
• Current experience in consumer goods, retail or manufacturing a plus
• Hands-on attitude / someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and not be tied to a job description
