This role is integral to the financial operations of our team, requiring a professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
The chosen candidate will be responsible for executing tasks such as liaising with the HRIS team, driving accounting systems compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the department
Collaborate with the HRIS team to ensure accurate setup of employee costing and accounting elements in the HCM payroll system
Drive compliance of accounting systems with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the department and drive change initiatives
Assume ownership of various processes and reports and implement new process improvement initiatives as needed
Maintain a service delivery focus towards our internal business customers
Develop profound knowledge of systems, data, and reporting tools as well as understanding of business processes related to the payroll system and general ledger accounts
Handle transactions related to employee transfers across Lines of Business
Work directly with acquired businesses to ensure payroll accounting entries are processed correctly in legacy ERPs
Reconcile payroll balance sheet accounts accurately and timely
Assist with accounting system integration activities of newly acquired companies as needed, ensuring account and financial dimensions are transitioned appropriately
Perform duties in compliance with GAAP, company and department policies and procedures, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

We are on the lookout for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is integral to the financial operations of our team, requiring a professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. The chosen candidate will be responsible for executing tasks such as liaising with the HRIS team, driving accounting systems compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the department. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
